At onPsych, we understand the challenges facing schools today.

onPsych are a passionate team of fully qualified, registered psychologists and social workers who specialise in child and adolescent services. We operate onsite in primary, secondary, and special schools, from both public and private sectors, working in both individual and group settings with students and parents. In most cases, services are performed at no cost to the school, student or parent. onPsych values working collaboratively with school welfare teams, teachers and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for young people across Australia.

Confidentiality & Privacy
onpsych is bound by the Victorian Information Privacy Act 2000 and the Health Records Act 2001. We adopt the Victorian privacy laws as a minimum standard in relation to collection, use, disclosure and storage of personal information.

As members of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), the professional association of psychologists in Australia, we also adhere to the APS Code of Ethics and Ethical Guidelines.

1. During the course of counselling, personal information will be collected by the psychologist. Personal information is information which directly or indirectly identifies a person. The student, and their family, have the legal right to have that information protected.

2. All clinical files are confidential documents and are the property of onpsych. They remain in the care of the attending psychologist and will not be left unattended at the school at any time.

3. onpsych recognises that students over the age of 15 have the right to access their personal information. Parents

Psychology Assessments
onPsych’s expert psychologists can complete most types of Educational and Psychological assessments. Our psychologists have a wealth of experience in conducting a full range of these assessments.onPsych’s psychologists always produce reports which have an emphasis on practical and useful strategies, which both parents and teachers can implement.
When an assessment, such as an IQ test, is requested as part of an investigation into a learning problem, or to assess eligibility for resource funding, a normal fee for service will apply as this service is not funded under Medicare

Changes to the Medicare rebate system have meant that on Psych can now provide these services to your patients, in most areas.
These services are provided, on a bulk bill basis, at no cost to the patient.

We provide these services at your patients schools and work with their teachers and support staff.

on Psych provides quality mental health and behavioural healthcare for children and adolescents.
We work in conjunction with Medical Practitioners and schools to provide bulk billed psychological services to children and adolescents.

Our Psychology service is independent, confidential and provided within school settings.

When a school believes that a student is in need of psychological support, the family will make an appointment to see a medical practitioner for an assessment under the Health Care Plan.

To enable the student to benefit from psychological assistance under the Health Care Plan, the medical practitioner bills the student using Medicare Item 2710.

We can provide information to assist the family describe the behavioural difficulties that the student is experiencing.
