All onPsych psychologists are fully registered to practice in Australia and specially trained in the understanding of the mental health needs of adults and students alike. Whether assistance is needed in procuring help for organisations, individuals or institutions of education, the onPsych team and community of psychologists are specialised to step in.

They have a deep understanding of both state and federal legislation affecting their work in schools with students.

All psychologists working in onPsych are fully registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and also satisfy the requirements of Medicare to become a provider under the Better Access and Pervasive Developmental Disorder Program.

They are qualified to provide psychological services to organisations targeting specific behavioural and emotional problems. It is a requirement of registration that psychologists have comprehensive insurance, which satisfies PBA guidelines. OnPsych psychologists have current police checks, which are provided to organisations and "working with children" permits appropriate to each state - when they are required to work with a school.

We undertake extensive staff training support and regulatory compliance required for each one of our psychologists. No other organisation can match the specialised support we provide in any setting in need of psychology services.

Our staff have a wealth of experience to ensure that every psychologist has access to on-demand case management support. Our large staffing base ensures that organisations receive ongoing, reliable and high quality support from their psychologist (s).

In cases where individuals or organisations are unhappy with the work of an individual psychologist, every attempt will be made to rectify the concern. Ultimately this could result in the replacement of the psychologist with another onPsych psychologist.

We work closely with General Practitioners, enabling them to give their patients better access to more specialised mental health care when the need arises.

Similarly, we also work with organisations by helping their staff and workforce improve their awareness of the options available to them. All staff referred via their specific GPs are eligible for coverage under Medicare and NDIS.

Schools and working with youth also represent a critical cohort of the types of groups we provide services to. Specifically, we focus on working with school welfare personnel, teachers, and administrators to help identify, guide, and counsel any students who are vulnerable.

Organisations that provide support services like suicide hotlines, suicide prevention organisations, and providers of other similar valuable services are equally important groups we work with.

When we partner with organisations to deliver a behavioural and mental health care program, the organisations will be assigned a fully-registered psychologist who is trained to understand and meet the mental health needs of all individuals.

The onPsych psychologist would typically work in a location every week for between half a day and up to four days per week. This will vary on a situational basis.

onPsych psychologists conduct assessments and develop treatment plans using one or more of the following techniques:

• Behaviour management
• Cognitive therapy
• Social skills training
• Anger management training
• Anxiety management training
• Social skills training
• Family therapy
• Group therapy
• Individual psychotherapy
• Applied behaviour analysis

There are no costs for our service. Virtually all onPsych services are billed to Medicare, so you have no financial obligation for the psychological services provided. Only very occasionally will organisations and individuals request extra services, not covered by Medicare, and these services are billed by arrangement.

This usually involves comprehensive cognitive (IQ) assessments.

If you or your dependent needs additional sessions, you can obtain an extension to their Better Access Care Plan from your GP and you or your dependent would then continue to be seen by OnPsych at the predetermined location.

You are eligible for a maximum of 10 individual sessions and 10 group sessions per year under the Better access Care Plan.

You are also eligible for 20 support sessions on a one-off basis, if you have been diagnosed as being eligible under the pervasive developmental disorder program.

There are also five sessions with a psychologist available also on a one-off basis, for the assessment of any individual who may be diagnosed as eligible under the pervasive developmental disorder program.

Medicare funds us to work in groups for 10 sessions per year per individual, in addition to the 10 sessions of individual work per year.

NDIS provides coverage for individuals who have been diagnosed as being eligible under the pervasive developmental disorder program.

onPsych online is a dedicated service that offers mental health support to children, adolescents, families, and adults through the use of telehealth (online video based psychological services).

Depending on your location, you may be able to access these services at no cost, as it is a bulk billed service with no gap fee.

Clients need a mental health care plan and need to be located in a rural and remote area, namely Modified Monash Model (MMM) areas 4-7 and at least 15 kilometres by road from the eligible treating practitioner.

Clients can still use onPsych online telehealth services even without meeting the Medicare requirements at a cost of $53 - $124 per session (depending on session length and several other factors).

Follow these easy steps to obtain a Mental Health Care Plan:

• Complete the onPsych client information referral form
• Book a double appointment with your GP (doctor)
• Advise them of the concerns regarding you or your child
• If you are not able to access a doctor call us on 1300651350 as we may be able to arrange an online referral
• Obtain a referral to onPsych under the Better Access Initiative (Item 2715/2700)
• Have your GP forward the Mental Health Care Plan and the completed onPsych referral form directly to onPsych via fax on 1300651580 or email it to contact@onpsych.com.au

If you are unable to maintain an appointment time, it is essential you inform your onPsych practitioner 24 hours in advance; failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee of 50%.

Session times will be decided between you and your onPsych practitioner, though they are generally between 30 to 50 minutes.
