Understand your struggle with suicidal thoughts better
People with suicidal tendencies think everyone is better off without them.
Whether you're dealing with suicidal thoughts or know someone who is, addressing these thoughts as soon as possible is incredibly important.
What are suicidal thoughts?
Suicidal thoughts can come from anywhere, sometimes its due to years of anxiety and depression going untreated, other times, people run into hard times and feel like suicide is the only solution.
Often leading to substance abuse, social isolation, and changes in behaviour, suicidal thoughts are dangerous because it makes us think we have no option other than to end our lives. It's perfectly normal to experience sadness, and low self-confidence from time to time, especially during adverse life events, however, if these feelings lead to thoughts about how everyone is better off without you, then you're struggling with suicidal thoughts and in need of help.
Suicidal thoughts lead people down dangerous roads. Getting help is, therefore, of paramount importance before.
Here in Australia, approximately 8 people die per day from suicide and a further 65,000 deal with suicidal tendancies, making it the lead cause of death among Australians aged 15-44.
